Chrissy, the rest of the wood is a cheap pine and wouldnt of looked like that finished. plus with the kids,dog & poor insulation it wouldve been too cold,too loud & too much work for Doug. lol Years ago they would put cheap wood in the center and use the good wood on the outside to make a pattern and just cover up the middle with area rugs.
The floors turned out really nice!!
